St. Matthew | St. Gregory | Our Lady of Charity
The Roman Catholic Church is grateful for the abiding presence of the Holy Spirit which unites us throughout the world. In the Parish of St. Matthew we celebrate that unity in the combination of the sites of St. Gregory the Great, Our Lady of Charity, and St. Matthew formerly individual parishes but now united in showing the beauty of our diversity. To truly reflect the beauty of God, one needs to look at all of His creation, not just small parts of it. The Parish of St. Matthew rejoices in having parishioners of all ages, multiple nationalities and ethnicities and many languages worshipping together and together portraying to our part of Brooklyn, the beauty of God and His only Begotten Son. We worship in English, Spanish and Creole. Our music is Gospel, Traditional Latin, Creole, Spanish and Caribbean. Together we say “Yes” to Christ following the example of our Blessed Mother Mary, and gain strength from the Holy Eucharist to bring our Lord’s presence to those we encounter in our daily lives. See on this site how we strive to make the Gospel alive.
